Karateka w Innym Świecie Tom 04

The way Hitoshi has to adapt without even clothes on his back in this volume really raises the stakes from the earlier books. I've been reading it slower than usual just to savor the wilderness survival panels. Volume 04 finally feels like the story is paying off everything it set up.

Watching Hitoshi fight bare-handed in a world that gives him nothing is still the best part of this series. Volume 4 finally shows him using karate against actual monsters instead of just bandits, and the panel layouts during those fights are way clearer than earlier volumes.

The god’s dismissive attitude had me laughing out loud, and Nozaki’s struggle to survive naked in that wilderness feels painfully real. This volume’s wilderness survival scenes are drawn with such gritty detail that I could almost feel the cold. Can’t wait to see how he talks his way out of this one
