Weiss Schwarz Umamusume vs NIKKE Booster Pack Comparison

Quick answer

Choose the Umamusume Pretty Derby pack if you want horse-girl characters and don't mind paying a little more per pack; choose the NIKKE pack if you prefer shooter-RPG artwork and want the lower upfront price. Both are 8-card Weiss Schwarz booster packs from Bushiroad, so your decision comes down to theme and budget, not pack size.

What actually differs between the two packs

The core specs are identical: each pack contains 8 cards from its respective set, published by Bushiroad for Weiss Schwarz. The real differences are the source franchise and the price. The NIKKE pack is listed at USD 4.33 (compared to a USD 6.99 comparison price), while the Umamusume pack is USD 4.82 (also compared to USD 6.99). That makes NIKKE the cheaper single-pack entry by about 49 cents.

Neither product listing states pull rates, guaranteed rarities, or whether foils appear in every pack. Treat those as unknowns and choose based on the franchise you actually want to collect, not on assumed hit rates.

Why theme should outweigh the small price gap

A 49-cent difference per pack is minor next to the cost of building a collection around a franchise you don't follow. If you already play the NIKKE mobile shooter or enjoy its character art, the cheaper pack also happens to be the one you're more likely to keep. If Umamusume's horse-girl cast is what drew you to Weiss Schwarz, paying the slightly higher price avoids a binder full of cards you don't recognize.

For players who intend to mix packs into one collection, note that these are separate sets. Cards from the NIKKE set and the Umamusume set are not interchangeable for deck-building; each pack only supports its own title.

The trade-off in plain terms

NIKKE gives you the lower price per pack and a darker, shooter-RPG aesthetic. Umamusume gives you the horse-girl theme and a slightly higher price. Neither pack promises a specific rarity distribution, so the honest trade-off is theme and budget, not value per card. If you're buying for a gift, pick the franchise the recipient already plays; if you're buying for yourself, pick the art you want to look at.

Decision rules for picking one pack

• If budget is the deciding factor: Pick the NIKKE pack at USD 4.33 over the Umamusume pack at USD 4.82. The saving is small per pack but adds up across multiple packs.
• If franchise loyalty is the deciding factor: Pick the pack from the game or anime you already follow. Neither set's cards work in the other's deck, so a mismatched pack has little play value for you.
• If you're buying blind for someone else: Ask which franchise they play before choosing. Without that answer, the NIKKE pack's lower price makes it the safer low-risk gift.
